After a number of considerations, I have decided that maintaining my Behance profile is the way to go. Despite my lack of luck in job interviews for the past year, I always wanted to have a portfolio page where I can dump some of my works there. Previously, I crammed in a number of works on my CV file within the second page. It did help, but the portfolio within the CV didn't have that much kick.
Before this, I opened a deviantArt account years back, but has since never touched it, ever. Despite intentions of posting my works there, no execution of any kind was done despite even I featured my own dA account on the site at some point. The idea of an online portfolio has never gotten into me until earlier this year in a bid to create a much better portfolio than just a series of personal work dumps within the CV. This is what drove me to eventually create a Behance account and start posting my projects a couple of days later, but obviously I will need more work in presentation remembering that this is my first time I created an online portfolio. Apparently, this website's ability to showcase work portfolio isn't limited to graphic design projects so I can dump a number of web design and motion graphic stuffs as well.
My biggest conflict was my amount of personal projects against the number of projects I actually did for organizations and stuffs, but that stems from my comparing own works with those with years of work experiences. Even before I conceived an online portfolio, I always thought that my works were "just stuffs" and that's it, apart from my organizational works that is. I ended up with inserting a logo for my friend's Instagram-based shop, a number of 3D works (including the low-poly racing scene and the low-poly Earp Homestead), and even cars from Turbo Sliders and MiniRacingOnline. Yes, I actually put game stuffs as graphic assets worthy of being featured in portfolio, because why not? These are scratch-made after all. If Bao T. Nguyen's Auto Modellista-inspired creation thought me something about how great personal projects are done, why not? Those doubts has been vanished, though it kinda needed its own media as time goes. Also, the VS Racing 2 work by Martin Öberg got me thinking about how treating my Turbo Sliders cars as enhanced graphical assets in addition of being an add-on as well. Worth to try!
Please do enjoy my online portfolio! More projects will be added soon as time goes. I hope you readers enjoy my works as much as I do!

The Decade's End (Entering the new one)

Mission Revival 2019 - A New Year's Miracle!
After my long struggle against the final paper I've been working and all the hiatus decisions I have to make due to that, plus all the procrastinations that came with it due to exhaustion in between my paper works, I have finally finished it just before 2019 came, and actually ended the year in a high note (in this case, 2018). I'm really glad that things have turned out well despite all the mess, and I can't wait to return to my old life with a new wisdom I've developed during the course of the paper work.

The new [R]GARAGE - What to Expect as Le Mans Draws Near
![]() |
| "Just a day in my laptop designing Go-knows-what. I only have 4 days left in doing this so..." |
For the past April, I have been speeding up on the [R]GARAGE redesign, yet due to real life circumstances you know everything was put into a total halt, and eventually all is dead. However, I promised that the new [R]G will feature new stuffs on the way, and a new design too. Many of these new stuffs are a mix of outright new ones and old ones, from my creation "infancy", that I have never released until today. All these new stuffs are those that shape and live up [R]GARAGE's new philosophy: more than just top-downs.

March is (Always) Madness!
Throughout March, I have been made busy with several activities that put my blogging activity here on hiatus, aside from college assignments and stuffs. The first one is Fandom March Madness which is the March Madness-style tournament with television and movie characters, exclusive on LiveJournal (note the "Steel Cage" in its name), and the second one is the Fall/Winter 2015 Fashion Week. Okay, so I can sense your questions why I had to take a look at such a very seemingly-unimportant thing that is fashion week, to the point that I sweated myself only to count how many shows a model has done, but all I know is that the March Madness atmosphere was there all along, not just merely because the last weeks of the Fashion Week coincide with FMM, with so many close races in every moment as exciting as Bathurst 12 Hour! If you will, you can check both actions of the FMM and Fashion Week on my LiveJournal blog!
However, as much as I enjoy all these "March Madness" stuffs this month, I always remember that I still have this blog and that I still have a site to take care of, plus some contents for God-knows games I play. Looking back, all these activities cost me very much of my blogging activity as I spent my days updating things on Twitter and via Excel, especially those related to fashion week. As a result, my 2015 Bathurst 12 Hour blog post was really late, but it was also because I was at loss at what to post. Remember that I tried to write a Nissan-themed post in light of Nismo's Bathurst 12 Hour victory and its GT-R LM unveiling in the Superbowl, but at the last minute, I ditched it and go back to square one for the B12hr post. In the end, this post entails the updates I had throughout my AWOL due to the March Madness.

The New RENDY'S BLOG - The New Face Within The Same Core
Remember when this blog had somekind of "untidy" interface and less-attractive colors as seen above? Now try to compare what the blog now has, design-wise. Thanks to my expertise at tinkering CSS and layouting, plus keeping the golden rules of designing (including web designing that is), GARAGE-R has become simply RENDY'S BLOG. Yes, it was the name of my old blog and adding Hi-v would be much better than just the aptly-chosen name, but it is the shift of direction this blog has taken. In fact, this is my second step on fixing my social media life after I stopped crossposting within the Trinity (Facebook, Twitter and Google+). Well, despite blog is technically anything but a social media, but it is actually a "media of thoughts" where every user can post anything pertaining to the subjects they are interested in.
This post takes a look at my history of blogging, how this blog is born and how it underwent design changes until the blog is what it is now.

October Round-up: Site Redesign, More TS Features, GR Race recaps, Oh My!
Well, opening up the first October post is a Round-up that reports things that I'm up into and recaps things I have been into. So many happenings happen between the last post and this post. This post will underline yet new features implemented in the future version of Turbo Sliders as well as showcasing a new car of mine while writing something about implementing an all-new physics which doesn't involve an antislide value of 7. Also in this post is the recap of what I've been through in GR competitions I'm joining in. All that and a special bit of paragraphs following these topics. But first thing's first: the non top-down racing game-centered post...

Still Alive, Even Until September Ends
Mind you, my real life has been brutal for the past weeks: college organization works, college life, and even some things that aren't meant to be done as I am unable to manage which stuff I have to work on first that I almost not give an update to this blog unlike past months where I used to post three to four posts a month. Granted, I've got my ammunition back, and the ammunition in question is of course my internet subscription. There have been lots of things for the past thirty days since the last blog post; Team [R]GARAGE being August's Team of the Month in GeneRally World Ranking, my return to MiniRacingOnline, and changes that I'd like to do for both my site and this blog.
Activity is very important, and being inactive is okay as long as you post a blog post explaining what happened that you missed your daily blogging antics or a social media post. Wonder why I said those things? Two words: GeneRally Sequel; for GeneRally 2 unfortunately, its progress is in an utter uncertainty, being less active on the social media and blog post, leaving most of its anticipated fans with question marks and speculations, even its last post explaining what happened to Kimmo, the car designer for the game, post Kickstarter failure didn't help that much, and not even its Twitter is update either. It is sad to see your highly-anticipated sequel of your favorite game lost its lights to keep its fans feel the hype, and hopefully they learn these mistakes to make its fans always certain on its progress.
Having my internet renewed and knowing that this is September, I don't think this blog needs Evan Rachel Wood where she'd wake me up when September ends. I'm standing on my own!

Where the F is GARAGE[R] this Ramadan?
There hasn't been any post since the last post of the three-part series named "Is Indonesia Humiliating Itself?", and that I promised you a recap of this year's Le Mans 24 Hours ASAP, even to the point that it would exactly be posted the same date as the previous year's recap. Yes, the one I almost had an amnesia moment with. However, you readers might be wondering why there hasn't been any post for the past one month, let alone a Le Mans recap. The answer is simple: real life, but once again we can't be bothered with too generic reasons that the answer should be VERY specific...
The real reason of why GARAGE[R] hasn't had any activity for the past month deals with my college life, more exactly one of my modules in which the final test is to make a working application and a report of the said application, also called as "Software Engineering" in short. All of my time was distributed into coding a software that can work, any software sans games. Web-based applications are also acceptable as with Java ones, which sums up the majority of what my college mates were making.
The coding is made with what I could call it as "1000 considerations" in which I had to LITERALLY find a working system as a reference for my application only to find out that the codes, when implemented into mine, didn't work well. Not only that, I also spent lots of time tweaking the application's graphical interface (read: CSS styles) before I code the functions and all the blahs, only to find out that this little application doesn't work well, even as an "application". However, my lecturer said that if the application doesn't work, a complete report would save me from getting a "C", at least I don't have to repeat all the fiasco for the next year and a "B" is more than enough to save yourself from that.
The subsequent impact is obviously readable: cannot work on game add-ons, cannot continue my skinning venture (even my Trophee Xsara car is still on hold, plus I'm considering to make another set of WIPs as a "reservation" so that no one creates the same skin as I do), even cannot make up what to write for my Le Mans race recap. The only things that stand between me and my vain web platform using RAD programming attempt are the World Cup (which ended already with Der Panzers become the champion), The International 4 (which I try to enjoy DoTA 2 as an e-sport), Emmy Awards (scratch this, I see no Tatiana Maslany!), and... Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week (is this worth mentioning? Oh shit, this model made me...). As time flies by, I had worked on my report, and I guarantee that this semester wouldn't be another trainwreck unlike the last one.
Also on the subsequent impact list is how I can't update my Livejournal to recap this year's Critic's Choice Awards, in which this year one of my favorite actresses Tatiana Maslany won the category of Best Actress in Drama Series, not to mention that the Netflix show Orange is The New Black is starting to be like Audi R18 e-tron quattro in Le Mans with its joyous year, winning categories, as a show and as an individual (for its actors and actresses). Why I compare both is because both are special: the former is because it's aired on Netflix, a web service for watching favorite series (and Indonesians be like "WTF is Netflix?"); the latter is because it's a Hybrid, a victorious one. The similarities between Netflix and Hybrid LMPs is beyond me, but they do represent the "new generations" of their respective ventures. For my tumblr, I managed to reblog one or two posts and view some of the... posts, doing a duty of a silent reader.
In the end, as I have approximately two months before the next semester comes, I could spend my time on making stuffs that should've been finished earlier than they should, plus be able to do some active blogging activities, including the Le Mans recap. Though my monthly internet quota would be "doubled" as in "running out 11GB worth of quota faster than a month and buy another 11GB" because of The International 4, I guess it's going to be another spectacular moment of 2014 nevertheless. Hopefully I could recap Le Mans like last year and continue creating stuffs like I usually do!
Like I said, recap of 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours will come ASAP.
